merging videos - urgent I am stuck was created by mmarhala
Hi
due to some reason I have to process videos seperately but now after exporting them , I have to put them together, how can I do that....
I am using fcpx and compressor.
do I have to put them again in the fcpx as one project and export them or there is some easy way ---The whole idea is I don't want to loose the quality of video after re exporting...please advise

Import them into FCPX and join them, that's about it.
As for quality, if you're working with ProRes you have over a dozen transcodes before you lose quality. Quality is going to be totally dependent on the codecs used. I'd say, if they're not ProRes now, import into FCPX; 1- Leave in place, 2- Optimize. Now you've got ProRes versions and you won't lose any quality that both clips currently have.
If you have QuickTime 7 Pro, you can join them there, but I find it easier to do with FCPX.
