I have two questions.

1) When I first started using 10.3, when I would mark in and out on an audio clip and press delete, the clip would keep it's structure, but the audio of that spot would be deleted, leaving a blank spot without changing the size of the clip.

Up until that point, whenever I would select and delete, that part of the clip would be deleted and usually one of the sides of the clip would collapse into the space and end up on another "track". Well it's gone back to doing that again...but I don't know what changed. How can I get it to only delete the audio but keep the clip length?

2) I recall being able to hover my pointer over any clip and select in and out points...now it only want to select in and out points on the clip that is in the storyline. What changed? I used to be able to hover and do a blade cut on any clip, and now it's making me select the clip...unless I'm just remembering wrong. But I'm pretty sure I was able to hover and select in and out points on any clip in the timeline before. Is it a setting?

Thanks.

1 - 10.3 had a bug when deleting a selected audio range. That has been fixed and an audio clip range will not delete properly, not just be muted.

To must an audio range, use v.

2 - Hit "R" for the Range tool to drag a range, when working with a connected clip. You must also have the range tool selected, and the connected clip selected, to use i and o for making a range on a connected clip.

Damn. I found that bug really useful.

Thanks for the tip on range selection.

When I have the range tool selected, I don't need to have the clip selected in order to select a range using I and O. Wish it worked that way with the pointer tool and the blade tool! Would make for much less clicking. Not sure what that would interfere with.

Thank you for your response!
