I'm rather fond of making Effect templates in Apple Motion to be used in my FCPX jobs.
One thing that I've noticed is that if there's a dramatic difference between the duration of the Motion Effect project vs. the duration of the clip in the timeline, I will get unwanted retiming of footage that's built into the template.
1. Is there anyway to tell Motion that certain lawyers are to be played back at their native frame rate, regardless of the duration of the clip in FCPX that the effect is applied to?
2. Is using the Loop Point marker in Motion the only way to address this kind of problem?
If anybody has any thoughts about this, or other retiming issues between Motion and FCPX, I would love to hear from you.
Cheers,
Scott

Hey Peter.
Thanks for the reply.
I did end up going with the End Loop marker. That does seem to be the only way to achieve what I was aiming for.
The frustrating thing about this, is that it disallows the use of an optional animation out marker.
It would be nice if you could utilize both in a template.
Guess I'll be sending some feedback about this. In addition to my usual begging for mesh and bezier warps.
Cheers,
Scott M
