Multicam not syncing at all

Multicam not syncing at all was created by daletv
Just updated to 10.3.2. I'm trying to create a multicam clip from a standard two camera interview. I select the clips, create a MC clip based on Audio to Sync and it simply lines all the clips up one after the other in one angle within the clip. They're not back to back, but rather sporadically spread apart across Angle 1 - Cam 1 clips, then cam 2 clips (based on their timecode by the looks of it). I even tried syncing via a marker on the first clip of each camera and it does the same thing.
What am I missing here? I've hunted online for this happening to others but it appears I may be alone. Thanks for any help!

I figured it out. All the clips were imported with the same Camera Name. As soon as I rename the clips Camera Name accordingly everything works (Cam A = "Cam A", Cam B = "Cam B" etc). Crisis averted. I'll leave this here should anyone else run into this. Or admin can delete the topic if they reckon it's unnecessary.

This is a common mistake. The very first thing you need to do prior to syncing your clips is to assign camera names or camera angles to your clips so FCP X knows what clips belong to the same camera.Glad to hear you figured it out.
