Organizing Sound Effects Libraries (FCP, iLife, and Others)

A new question about working with sound libraries in 10.3.2
I'm trying to clean up and organize my sound effects, so that I have less scrolling and no duplicate sounds.
I quickly realized that I have duplicate folders (and even sound effects) because of the iLife folders. It took awhile, but I finally tracked these sounds and folders inside the iMovie app.
Besides taking up space on my hard drive, this also causes a search to return duplicate results and it forces me to scroll through more folders.
Is there a way to delete the folders without breaking iMovie? Is there a way to not have FCP return these folders as part of the sound library results? Any other suggestions on what to do with these? Should I just delete iMovie (is there a downside to that)?
Thanks,
Chris
