Can Anyone help out a newbie ? was created by grant.codrai
Hi All,
Im Very new to all this, I'm trying my best to get the hang of things but I feel I may be going the long way to achieve something very simple, If you look at the link below you will see what I'm trying to achieve, I'm wondering if someone could point me in the direction of how to do this the "Proper Way"
Ive added a screenshot to show the car crash of an attempt that I made.

Welcome, Grant, to fcp.co
uhm, well, many ways lead to Rome … basically, your 'construction' is the proper way to rebuilt this fancy 'countermove slide-in from nowhere' effect/title: two 'basics', masked, keyframed, done.
For sure, there's a 'more proper' way - such titles are slammed together within minutes in Motion5 - if you own M5 and if you can handle it …
Another, the easiest way, is looking for plugins - and esp. those, you're searching for, are a speciality of honourable board member 'gracias20' - search for her contributions here at fcp.co ... I vaguely remember, yours was part of some package of hers … sorry, me lazy to dig thru dozen of demoes .........
(and, pssst, the plugin section is for contributions, not requests …
