How to best work with an image stack

Just got footage from a shoot that was with a DJI camera (was osmo and drone stuff) files are image stacks in a folder for each shot. Anyone know a "best method" for handling these in FCPX? Avid will see the image stack and create a clip, but I do not see a way to do such in FCPX.

So someone set that camera to do DNG which I find overkill most of the time. The DJI cams will record perfectly good quality QT files.

To the question; FCPX's image sequence support is minimal. Use Compressor or Motion to convert it to a QT ProRes file.

Ah Motion!! did not even think of that! thanks. Went the compressor route and it is fine so far. Was hoping for a more direct route via FCPX.

Well, I find it quite easy to import an image sequence into FCPX. Import the entire folder with the images, then select all and append to storyline (E), select all, ctrl-D, type 1 for the duration, ready. You might want to collect the image sequence into a compound clip, but that's optional.

Yup, that does work. Downside is the compound clip is wont have all the clip properties, ie Stabilize is not an option.
Though I could export compound and reimport to gain that!
