Changing audio level on multiple clips

Changing audio level on multiple clips was created by spaulding
In FCP X 10.3 I have a sound effect in different parts of the project. Is there a way to change the level once and have it affect all of the clips? This sound effect is in an audio role and is listed in Effects-1.

Yes, you can select multiple clips at once and adjust the Level in the Inspector all at once.

I think what the OP is asking is if there's a way to change the level in one place without selecting it all throughout the project.
I'm not certain it works with EFFECTs audio but I think the way to do what you want is to change the level of the file outside of FCP X with an audio editor and then replace the file in your Library and relink in FCP X.

Thanks FCPX.guru and Les Wilson. I will just select the clips and adjust in the inspector. I also thought I saw this either in a mac break studio or maybe a Larry Jordan tutorial. I was thinking the audio level adjustment would be associated or recalled via an audio role. This wasn't a huge time loss for me but rather something that just came to mind and picturing Steve Martin from Ripple Training executing a keyboard shortcut to accomplish this task. Thanks again GURU and Les!

if you compound clip your entire edit, you can affect the whole subrole off course

you can select multiple clips and typae Ctl-+ or - to change their levels incrementally... even while playing.
(And you MIGHT be able to first search by clip name in the list and then select them in the list before typing the change?)
