Is there a way to force FCPX to refresh the folder contents during IMPORT?

I import my capture files from SxS cards to hard disk using the Sony copy utility. However, FCP X Import does not show the newly added files. But after quitting and relaunching FCP X, the Import window DOES show the new files.

Is there a way to force FCP X to refresh the folder contents?

Not exactly sure what the Sony copy utility has to do with FCPX. Those are two unrelated apps, as far as I know.

Check the clip filter menu and the search field in the Browser, make sure you don't have anything set there unknowingly.

When FCPX imports something, it shows up right away, unless there's Browser settings that prevent that.

The Sony copy utility has nothing to do with FCP X and nothing to do with the Browser. This is about what files the FCP X IMPORT window shows you that you can import. The point in mentioning the Sony utility is that I don't use FCP X to copy files off the SxS card.

If I leave the card mounted, FCPX IMPORT sees the files on the card just fine. But I want FCP X to import files from my hard disk where I already ingested them from cards (using the Sony utility which keeps the same directory structure... combines files split between cards... fixed flash bands ....). FCP X IMPORT sees previously ingested files on the hard disk from the last time it was launched but FCP X IMPORT does not show the ones just ingested by Sony onto the hard disk. That is, unless I restart FCP X. Then IMPORT shows the recent files on the hard disk. It's a simple command to refresh the directory. Lots of Apps have it. This looks like an FCP X bug.
