Hello,
I have a multicam project I've nearly finished editing. I just have some potentially major sound work left and some minor cut adjustments.
I did a test export a while back which I've discovered to have some issues. The issue is that at the points at which I've changed a video angle, there is an audible sound disturbance. Sometimes an audible "pop" or "dip" in the sound.
I feel the best way is to show an excerpt where I personally find it very noticeable to hear the sound disturbances:
You should hear these sound disturbances at cut points. For example I find them very noticeable at 00:07 and 00:10.
The sound angle have remained unchanged for these clips. However, I have done level adjustments to the sound in the multicam source "project" (The timeline in which all the camera angles have been set up and syncronized). I've done no audio editing in the "angle project" (The timeline where the angles are switched in the multicam edit). Apart from changing the audio source a few times where the main sound source didn't record.
However, upon playing the timeline in Final Cut Pro X, these sound disturbances can not be heard. It seems they are somehow applied on export through Compressor.
Has anyone already experienced this and know what the problem is/how it can be resolved? I have a hunch it may have come about after adjusting audio levels with audio keyframes in the timeline where all the sources are syncronized. But the points at which these sound disturbances occur doesn't correspond to keyframe points, but angle switch points for the video source.
Unfortunately I'm currently away from the project files/hard drive that has them and will be for a while. So I don't have any opportunity to do new test exports or work in the project with the issue for a while. I do hope that someone will get me on the right track to the solution in the mean time however, so I can resolve this as soon as possible when I'm back.

Hi Preben, welcome to the forums.
1. Have you applied any audio filters to an angle in the Angle Editor?
2. Are you working with the latest version of FCP X?

Thanks for your reply, Ronny
I'll have to admit this was exported some months ago. But I didn't have a chance to look properly at it until now and I didn't have the time to do an re-export before I headed for vacation. It's on an external hard drive.
I realize it might be a little to go on and I know I should have tested it more myself, but ideally I need to be able to solve this the day I'm coming back, so I just want to get some information on whether this is a known problem and any potential solutions to the problem I can try when I get back.
As for your questions:
1. I'm very sure I have not, but I'll double check when I get home. What I've noticed is that this issue only seems to be for the first 15 or so minutes (It's 100 minutes in total), so I'll have a closer look. I have however applied audio filters to the video clips in the multicam setup timeline (Where all the cameras are syncronized. But I'm pretty sure I've not done so in the angle viewer timeline) (Not really sure what's the best way to name these timelines are, haha)
2. Answered that above. Do you have knowledge of known issues like this that has been adressed lately?
Again, sorry for asking something I don't have immediately access to test again right now. I'll hopefully be back from vacation thursday and will do some attempts then. But since I ideally need to be able to solve this thursday/friday, I'm just trying to get a head start here

Hello again, I've now the read the definition given here on what is considered the angle editor, and it seems I've misuderstood what to refer to as the angle editor.
support.apple.com/kb/PH12661?locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US
So yes, I believe I have applied audio filters to angles in the angle editor (where the sources from different cameras are synced/setup). It's the "original timeline"(?) I have not applied any filters too.
Is that not something I should do and could be the cause of the problem? If so, how should I apply these audio filters and/or audio keyframe changes?
