Went to the local Apple Store to look at the new MacBooks. I see they all have the demo project from the Japanese Concept/Abstract Garden artist Azuma Makoto for you to have a play with. Thought that was really cool.

Is this Project available to download to have a look at? Thought it would be a great way to learn / see how perhaps you 'should' use FCPX

Thanks

Richard

… to download Azuma Makoto Sample Project …

aside all sorts of 'rights' issues, this beautiful demo is 4k/prores/wide gamut = some gazillion of bytes to download ;)
next Time at store check Libs size .........

guess, 'dogwash-day' was the last public available demo-file LOL ....

Hey Richard,

I agree it's a great demo, but it does not show how one "should" work with FCP X. In fact you can work with FCP X in hundreds of different ways, all depending on the kind of projects you handle. And that goes for any NLE. A commercial has completely different workflows than a documentary, a feature film is handled very differently from a reality show, a wedding video has different requirements than a YouTube show. And even when working on the same type of project, different editors may use different approaches and still get the same results.

I would advise you to watch as many live workflow demos as possible, so you can see how other editors deal with real-world projects that are close to the kind of work you need to do, and use that as a basis to develop you own style of editing. No-one edits the same way.
