Dear Forum,

I've got various video source shot with DSLR 720p/25fps, 720p/50fps, and 1080/50i shot with hvr and 24bit audio source. I want final output 1280x720p with clean audio. Edit will contain some keying and graphic layers animation and with plenty SFX. All video were transcoded to ProRes 422.

In this scenario, what is the best project setting I should go for smooth output if all edit is to be done within FCPX 10.3?

Thank you for the support,

Soran.

The output frame rate will be 25p but I'll have some slow motion work with 50p/50i.

Thanks

I've got many footages shot 720p x 50fps and need to do some slow motion.

Do you think I can take advantage of 720p50 in 720p25 setting?

What about audio? should I stay with 24bit/192khz then export 16bit/48khz?

Yes, use the 50p in 25p for slomo.

I don't know about the audio. I'm sure I couldn't hear the difference.

Any advice for an effect-heavy VO and the foleys if should I stay with 24bit/192khz for editing in FCPX then export 16bit/48khz?

16 bit, 48kHz holds up just fine. In our studio we've experimented with higher bit rates and larger sample rates, but never found any real difference in the end. If you were doing very high end analog instrument recordings for music, there's a benefit in specific situations, but for what you're doing, naw, don't bother.
