Clip Renaming in Browser bug

Clip Renaming in Browser bug was created by pokkelZA
Hi
I have this very annoying bug at the moment. I am trying to rename clips in my Browser by sometimes FCP reverts back to the original clip name halfway through. This is very frustrating as I am losing a lot of time trying to rename clips before I can start editing.
It first happened on my mid 2013 Macbook Pro. I also checked it now on my mid 2015 iMac. Both are running El Capitan (up to date) and on my both machines I am on FCP X 10.3.1 I hoped the last patch would have fixed it, since I was only getting it since 10.3
Any help? Anyone else with this bug?
Regards
Wilhelm

I am not getting it in the browser, but cannot rename any clips in the project. Rename clip is greyed out.

In order to use the contextual menu to rename clips in the timeline, you must have Clip Name enabled in the timeline clip appearance options. Clips can also be renamed in the Inspector and Timeline Index. However, after you rename a clip in the timeline and restart FCPX, the used media indicators in the Browser will no longer be present for those renamed clips. If this effects you (as it does me), please submit Feedback to Apple with hopes they will fix this longstanding bug.

Even with Clip names enabled I can't change any names in the timeline.
Thanks for your reply and I will indeed pass on the feedback to Apple.

Not being able to rename clips in the timeline is a known bug, report it in the feedback page. I get it irratically.
The OP, never seen this before, but report it, don't doubt you're seeing this.
