Hi All,
I'm editing a short doc, shot on a Sony FS7 which has produced MXF files.
The image is shot in s-log and I want to preserve the dynamic range for when it comes to grading, so how best do I import and edit with these files into FCPx 10.3 without losing quality? (I'm a bit of a dummy I know!). Do I need to download a plug in or what?
Thanks everyone!
Jack

Slog is applied automatically. You can switch it off or change it in the Info inspector. Might need Sierra for this.

OK thanks.
When importing the MXF Files into FCP, what would you recommend for the settings?

Do I lose anything in the videos quality/dynamic range if it Renders the video to Apple Pro Res 422 for editing? If so, what shall I do?
Many thanks!
