What's its significance ?

How do I get rid of it?

It means you have turned off Skimming. Press S turn it on again.

Thanks for that, but I'm quite sure it never went RED before ?? It was quite a shock to me. I could have sworn it wasn't red before regardless of Skimming being on , or have I just not been paying attention :oops: :blink:

It was always red. Turns yellow when you snap it to an edit point. Was like that in 10.2.

OH, in 10.3 it does look slightly different, so that may be catching your eye. But same colors and behaviors.

So the cursor being white and then turning red when you hit play (spacebar) is normal ?
