new macbook pro & color finale

I've just started working with a new Macbook Pro (the latest) and Color Finale Pro is no longer working on my fcpx projects. When I open a project, Color Finale corrections appear in the effects browser as being applied to the clips, but they aren't active. I'm unable to open the controls panel to make changes and when I unclick Color Finale in the effects browser, there is no change in the clip, so it is having no effect. When I go back to my old laptop (Macbook Air), Color Finale Pro appears and I can make changes, etc,. I have Sierra on both my Macs. Any ideas?

I guess you have the recent update from CFP?

Not sure how to find the latest update. Looked around their site. I believe I'm up to date - been working in Sierra with my Macbook Air with no problems. I'll join their forum and ask around. Thanks.

Updated CFP - that did it. I didn't realize I had to actually open the app to update. thx
