Phantom projects

So I created a project, named it, didn't pull anything down onto the timeline immediately and opened up another clip, and when i tried to get back to that created project I couldn't find it.

So I tried making another project with the same name, but it warned me that I couldn't because there was already one.

I searched for it and nothing comes up. I checked the project smart folders and it's not there, it's not included in the number of projects. But I still can't create a project with the same name.

Most importantly, I was also experiencing technical difficulties at the time - I have been getting frequent crashes since the update though I do enjoy having the update - and this happened several times after creating the new project naming it a different thing each time. I can't seem to find these phantom projects but I want to delete them as I'm having to give my projects ridiculous names now and it's annoying!

10.3 FCPX using Mac Sierra 10.12.1

Look in the library smart collection for projects. It should be there.
