Hi there
So I was wondering if there is a way. I shoot on a Sony PXW-X70 camera and for the first time today I chose to experiment with using the simultaneous proxy file recording. The proxy file looks great however the files are named e.g. Clip0187 (optimized) and Clip0187S03 (the proxy).
Is there a way to swop out the source clip in your edit once the edit is done?
The main reason I don't want to let FCP create a proxy especially with 4K is that it is so time consuming. Once I have copied the source footage the proxies are already there.
