Is there a way to skim clips in browser only, without skimming the project (sequence)?

The filter popup at the top of the browser lets you select unused clips. This will show any media that's not in the currently open project.

Sorry for being unclear.
What I want to do is to have the skimming function only in the browser and not in the timeline.

That's what I suspected. Something for my wish list.
Very useful in the browser, but not so in the sequence IMO.
Thank you for answer!
