Create Disc hangs

Hello FCPX people ...

I use it quite a bit and love it but ...

Burn disc to DVD hangs at around 68%.
This article suggests burning an image to hard drive but even this may fail.
I could create a master file each time but I would like to just create a DVD as intended.

How long is your project and how much space do you have available on your system drive?

Well my projects are often and varied, not very long and I have ample space (like 1 Tb)
They all render fully and I never use a background image on the menu (I heard that causes pbs sometimes)

Okay so it's not a problem caused by lack of drive space. Can you give us more info about your setup? Mac, OS version, FCP X version, format of your footage, amount of RAM and graphics card.

Well its really nothing special only 1440 x 1080.
But there seems to be no common thread to failure.
It just happens ...
I have 16 Gb on El Capitan
A 2011 iMac that has always worked well.
FCPX v10.3
I don't understand why burning an image to HDD uses create disc

Correction - I checked and I wasn't on 10.3 but prior version (10.2 I think)
I have now updated to 10.3 and will test disc burn over the coming days.
