Hi everyone
Really loving FCP X 10.3.
I have found a couple of issues on both IMAC and my work FCP X Pro Guinness can
1. it does seem to quit a lot, regardless of footage, settings etc.
2. The sharpen filter l I have found badly affects the highlights, it acts like the broadcast filter. It clips highlights at 100 on the scopes and causes massive colour shifts. Destroying a grade. However if you make a sharpen or unsharpened mask filter in motion and publish it to FCP X, guess what? It works as it should. So the inbuilt sharpen filter is dodgy. Be warned.
As an aside I am running FCP X with color finale pro and also a ripple tangent attached. Does the job quite well, I must say. It is not Davinci, thanks to a lack of power windows and ability to compare shots, but for REC 709 stuff it is quite effective
