Hi Guys, got some footage taken from a fireworks show (Gh4 and wide angled lens).. Just wondering how to get the best out the footage as there seems to be a cloudy glow around the firework explosions

Ewww.
Schmutz on the lens. Lousy photographer. Fire him/her.

You're going to try to boost the contrast by eliminating everything below a luma threshold. Then you're going to use that as a keyer input to allow only the brightest stuff to show through. You'll be masking out the brightest foggy stuff that won't clip out.

Lots of work and the results will be a compromise; you're not going to like what you get. Easier to fly to a location where they're putting on a fireworks sow and reshoot it.

Yeah try to focus one luma changes, even then it will still be tricky. You're certainly going to need more than the Color Board for this too.

Some plugins also have F-Stop features in the way they alter luminosity values, that could be an option too. Pretty sure Tiffen has one, but DFX is pricey.
