FCP X 10.3 - Graphics configuration not supported - qualified computer.

Folks I am working with a MacBook Pro that qualifies without issue for all of the requirements of FCP X 10.3, but after a little while of editing it pops up with a message saying the Graphics configuration not supported. The message continues on about hardware acceleration not being supported which is required to run Final Cut Pro. The laptop I am getting the message on has an Intel HD 4000 graphics card.
Any ideas?

Should be the 2012 models for the Intel 4000 so will run FCPX10.3 fine
Also if you are able to install and run FCPX for awhile w/o a hack then it is not the lack of the card being qualified for the minimum specs.
This computer has a recall for the graphics card, so I suspect you have a faulty card. Contact Apple for a replacement. They actually have to replace the entire logic board.
You can go on their website to confirm your model for possible issues.
The normal manifestation of problems was for monitors experiencing a blocky moire pattern of colors across part or all of the monitor during some operations or time but not always present.
So this is just a guess on my part that your GPU is beginning to glitch.
You could also try the standard of shutting down computer, delete preferences (doubt it), check all plug-ins for being up to date, open project in different user account, and finally re-installing FCPX or even OS.
It is possible that somewhere along the way, the app or OS picked up the wrong i.d. for the computer. Did you by chance migrate from an older computer using Migration Assistant? I always prefer to do clean installs and migrations.
Hope this helps, Greg

The Intel HD 4000 GPU was only used in MBP for the Mid 2012 to Early 2013 models all of which qualify for the latest FCPX versions.

Clean install of the app. It is a 2012. I'll look into the recall. That's good to know.
