Search metadata on multiple ‘Favourite’ selections from a single long clip.

In FCPX 10.2.3 is there a way to add unique ‘Note’ metadata to each one of multiple ‘Favourite’ selections within a long clip? When I apply some info in the ‘Note‘ field of one ‘Favourited’ selections in a clip the same ‘Note’ info is present in all the other ‘Favourited’ selections from that clip. If I change it in e.g. my second selection, the same metadata text replaces my original note text in the previous ‘Favourited’ selection.

This shouldn't happen. Where exactly are you adding the note and how? Post screenshots. You can also rename Favorites BTW.

Hello Tom.
I was trying to add text to the 'Notes' section of the clips listed under my 'Favourites' Smart Collections'. But I may have found out what I was doing wrongly and solved my problem. I tried to select the 'Notes' field in the filmstrip icon of my two favourites. And I got the behaviour I described.
But I discovered that if I click on the disclosure triangle of the filmstrip icon and add my text to the 'Notes' field of the green-starred Favourite line instead I can add different text to each Favourite 'Notes' field. I'm fumbling my way around metadata with FCPX but couldn't find a tutorial that described exactly how to do what I wanted with multiple favourite selections in the same clip.
Thanks for the info on renaming Favourites. I'm trying to decide if renaming will negatively impact on my ability to reference my source clips down the line.
Thanks,
Roy
