Final Cut Pro X and GoPro Hero 5 Black was created by Tortellino
Hello, I have a simple question:
with newest version of Final Cut Pro X (10.3), we can import files from GoPro Hero5 (.mp4), and work with it.
Is not needed to convert it (for example ProRes422) before? ...or is better to convert it working in ProRes422 and than reconvert it in .mp4 later?
Thank you.

Use the native H.264 from the GoPro. We do it daily with Hero3 and 4 models. Haven't worked with the Hero5, but it's the same codec, that hasn't changed.
The only time I'd recommend "Optimizing" during import, is if you're on a Mac Air.

If you wish to get a high quality and high performance of workflow, Apple Prores codec can be the best choice.
