Hi,

I can't find the setting to select Stereo / Dual Mono etc in the Audio inspector in 10.3.
Am I overlooking something?

Thanks,
Suzanna

Are you in a multicam clip? It's now in the multicam editor.

Rather than having a dedicated button/drop down in the Inspector, it's actually on the waveform itself towards the right hand side. I think this is different than it was before but can't quite recall.

That's where it was before except it used to be called Channel Configurations. In a multicam clip in a project you don't see that any longer. You have to go to the track in the multicam editor to access it. That's a change from previous versions.

A multicam clip in the timeline pane, you do have access to turning on and off channels. But switching from dual mono to stereo, like Tom says, must be done in the angle editor, for each individual clip.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

It is not a multicam clip but it is a synced clip. It's a shame Apple made us dig deeper to change such settings. More clicking / waste of time.

I have discovered that synced / multicam clips present more problems in 10.3 (such as no longer being able to Reveal in Browser / Finder) but I guess I should save that for another topic.

It was changed because many users wanted to combine multiple audio channels into a single file. There was then no way to treat the separate channels independently without going into the sync or multicam clip itself.

I'm having this issue too with a synced clip. Can someone give me steps of how to change this to dual mono? I don't see how I can. Thanks

You have to open the clip. Right click and select and Open Clip. You can then change the audio configuration in the inspector.
