Hi Guys,
I'm trying to update my FCP to 10.3. I logged into App Store using Apple ID, found Final Cut and then clicked "Update" and all i get is the spinning dial. Nothing's happening.
Does anyone have any tips on how I can get this thing downloaded and onto my computer?
Thanks x

The file is over 4GB in size so if you have successfully authenticated with your Apple ID it will probably take some time to download. If by "Spinning dial" you mean the little circular icon in the app store, (the downloading progress indicator) then you probably just need to wait. If it's the beachball, then you might try to reboot and download again.

It's the spinning grey dial.
90 minutes so far and still not done. Is there any other way to get the software, or any other means to remedy this issue?

Spinning dial is not showing successful download progress. There's an issue. And no, App Store is the only way to properly install it.
I'd use FCPS Remover (free from Digital Rebellion dot com) to remove FCPX totally. Log out of the App Store. Reboot my Mac. Log back in, download again.

Totally disagree. The App store occasionally fails to show the normal waiting/downloading progress bars and the dial at the upper left of the menu bar is the only indication that software is downloading. This happens less frequently than it ever used to but still occurs. 90 minutes depending on download speed may or may not be another issue.FCPX.guru wrote: Spinning dial is not showing successful download progress..

Are you on OS X version 10.11.4 or later?
If not, you won't be able to update to FCPX 10.3
