Setting Markers during playback in FCPX 10.3 stops playback for a moment

Hey there,
i recently updated to 10.3 and i love the new lanes, roles and overall workflow optimization so far!
However, in FCPX 10.3 i noticed that when you set markers during playback, e.g. on a music track, euh sorry, CLIP or lane, playback stops for a brief amount of time. I used that in order to tap markers on music in sync to the beat, which made editing to beat really easy.
Anyone had this issue too or can confirm that it´s not my configuration?
Yours
Daniel

Hey Daniel,
I haven't seen this on any of our systems. And to make sure it's not a question of having the latest and greatest hardware, I recorded this little test on a 2008 MacPro with an old nVidia card:
In fact I feel that overall responsiveness has much improved with this update.

Hey Ronny,
cool, thank you for testing it out also on an old machine! I figured out that this behavior probably was due to an upgraded library from 10.2. Hadn't thought of that. (Although almost obvious)
I created a new project in the same Library and event and copied my edit over. Now it sets the markers while playing back super fluently.
Theres a good reason why people say "dont upgrade mid-project!" But i was too tempted...
Yes indeed, the ui feels a lot more responsive since 10.3. but if i may say so: Theres still a little room for improvement.
Thanks again!

Hey Daniel,
Great to hear you have found a way to get around this.
I agree there will always will be room for improvement as we move towards more demanding workflows all the time. But I have to say I am pretty happy with how Apple has been improving FCP X so far, especially with this latest update.
