Better Slo-Mo

I have a project and it was only recorded at 29.97fps ...it is 1920x1080 though. Basically I was wondering if there is a plug-in or a way that produces better slow motion results than the stock retiming in fcpx.... I know there is a trick where you can load the footage into a new project at a lower frame rate but i don't think lowering from 29.9 to 23 will get me where I wanna be. I wanna be at about 45% my original speed

Twixter from ReVision. $400-600 for FCPX. Incredibly beautiful slow motion.

Have you tried the Optical Flow option of FCPX?
