FCPX 10.3- Metadata Migration Issue

Hello all,

Like most of you, I've updated to the newest version of FCPX. I began migrating an older Library from the 10.2.3 release. Once everything was imported I was looking around to get familiar with the updated GUI only to notice that my metadata on 75% of my clips were gone.

I use FCPX for Wedding edits due to its streamlined nature. I usually import my footage and use the Card Folders contained in the root folder as keywords so that all my footage that is imported is organized by card. After Import, I customize the metadata of each clip in each respective keyword (Card) to correspond with what camera was used as well as a numerical system to make multi-camming easier. From there I further organize my footage into what was occurring at the time it was shot. I use upwards to 6 cameras for a typical South Asian wedding so there is ALOT of footage.

Long story short, I have at least 30+ Hours of footage with previously organized camera names. I can re-do all of the camera metadata but it'll take forever since most clips are also shot simultaneously. It also seems to be that only the Sony footage was affected.

Does anybody know of any fixes for this issue or if this is the first time its being reported?
