Hi Guys,
When I use "option F" I sometimes don't get a freeze frame. I get a cut in the timeline, but the frame does not freeze. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a rule I am not following?
Thank you,
P x

Hi Phil,
Are you trying to create a freeze frame from a single clip in the main storyline, or from superimposed clips?

Just a single clip in the storyline. I can cut a frame and then slow it down to 1% and trim it, but I just want to know why the function itself isn't working - for future reference.
Thank you,

I use the function daily, and no issues here. Are you using a customized keyboard Command layout, or the Default layout?
Because I would throw in to this mix that if Option-F does a blade cut, go into the Commands (opt-cmd-k) and verify Option-F is still assigned to its original function.
Also, for what you're doing, another tool (and I find it more useful and quicker) is the Hold option for retiming, Shift-H.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will check them both out. If all else fails, I will trash preferences.
Thanks
