Hi all,

Is it possible to select all clips in my time line, having a particular effect ?

Not that I'm aware of. What is your goal? There may be a way to do something without having to select them all at once. Are you wanting to remove a specific effect?

Thanks for reacting. Yes, there is one particular effect I would like to review in all clips that have it applied, so rather than go through all individual clips manually and looking at the inspector, it would be nice to be able to select them.

So you just want to look at the settings of each, not remove it from them all?

Well, either way, you're going to have to go one by one.

BUT, with the Inspector open, start at the beginning of your Timeline. Hit the down arrow key to move from clip to clip. The Inspector will automatically update with which ever clip the playhead is on. Don't know if that helps at all.

Nope, no way to list them all like you want, to my knowledge. That would make for a handy little utility app, though.

You might make use of FXHandler, which was discussed here on fcp.co a short time ago. See www.fcp.co/forum/4-final-cut-pro-x-fcpx/19703-x-fx-handler . I haven't used it, but it seems like it would be useful for you.

Thank you all for giving this a thought. I will try using the FX handler to see if that is helpful
