3840x2160 Monitor On a MacPro was created by cog2803
I have a Mid 2012 MacPro running 10.10.5, with 2x3.06 6-core processors, 64GB Ram and an ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB graphics card. I have two 1920 x 1080 displays with the left in Portrait mode for Events and the right one in Landscape mode for timeline, effects, inspector, etc.
For my client monitor I have a consumer LCD TV recieving it's signal via HDMI from an AJA Kona LHi card.
I would like to upgrade the landscape display to a 3840x2160.
Are there any concerns with this setup driving the 3840x2160 and the 1920x1080 displays?
Thanks

So, I determined that my current Graphics card, a Radeon HD 5870 will NOT support 3840x2160 monitors.
However a Sapphire HD7950 Mac Edition will.
I will replace the old card with the new card next month and then upgrade the monitors shortly thereafter. One thing at a time
Thanks for the input.
