Dear all,
I have change my old macpro to new mac pro. I used transfer user. My Os is 10.11.6 in italy language while fcp is in English.
After this change, after use of fcp if I log out at the user or shutdows then restrt the Mac Pro the layout keyboard change in US layout automatically. If I view in system preference I must push "+" for Italian Layout then choose it with preferred.
But if shut the mac the us keyboard appear!!!! Startup item is empty and I'm very tired because don't understand where is the problem.
Could you help me about this problem?
Thanks for your help,
Paolo

Hi Paolomos
Go to System Preferences > Language & Region Click on the "+" button and add any language you want. Italian/English/etc… Now drag the language you want as default to the top of the list.
Now go to System Preferences > Keyboard >Input Sources and add all the languages you have in Language Preferences and move the default to the top. This will make your Mac launch in the language of your choice.
Click on the Keyboard tab and make sure to add a checkbox in the "Show Keyboard, Emoji and Symbol Viewers in Menu Bar". This will give you a quick way of changing the Keyboard Input from the Menu Bar.
It should be noted, not all apps have total language support in menus, etc… so you may not have complete keyboard support, however the keyboard viewer should allow some additional support for input.
Hope this helps, Greg
And welcome to the forums!
