I've used FCP since 2002, but only a few months on X. In a timeline I have many stills and titles that I used video animation transparency to fade in/out. If I make any clip duration changes or deletions in the timeline upstream of these clips I get a double fade. It doesn't show up as a keyframe in the clip, or anywhere else. But if I do something to the clip that triggers a re-render of it, the problem goes away. A change in fade time (then back again) does the trick. The problem is, I have clip duration changes to make early in the timeline, and tons of stills and titles later that will be corrupted.
Is there any work around, aside from a total export then re-cutting the total exported file?

Follow up: I contacted Apple about this, they were able to replicate it, looks like a bug.
The work-around suggested is to make all changes, ignore the glitches, then delete all render files and re-render the entire project. Not very practical, I did this today with a 90 minute project, had to leave and get lunch while the computer chewed on things.

I got a similar bug with one project, and my work around was to turn off background rendering until that section was complete.
