Closing Projects - Rhyme or Reason?

Closing Projects - Rhyme or Reason? was created by cog2803
I often open multiple projects in a library at the same time - or even multiple projects from multiple open libraries. I know that you can navigate across those projects using the left/right arrows, right clicking on an arrow and selecting from the open projects or using Command the [ or ] keyboard shortcut to cycle through them.
I'm curious though as it seems that FCPX will randomly close open projects without any input from the keyboard or mouse. I was wondering if anyone has been able to discern the logic that it follows to select which projects to close or what triggers it to close those projects?
I also would love the ability to close open projects at will in FCPX by some keyboard shortcut or drop down selection - I know that's a holdover practice from the FCP7 days of closing the tabs that contained sequences.
Anyway, any information on this subject would be helpful.
Thanks!
Bill

Hey Bill,
Nope there is no logic behind this behavior, and when you often need to work between several projects it can be a PITA to see that FCP X suddenly decides to close a certain project that you need.
I find the keyboard navigation very fast and useful, but I agree there should be a way to close any project at any given time or to keep open projects available until we decide we don't need to see them anymore. Submit feedback to Apple about this issue, you will not be alone
