Perhaps I'm overlooking it. Is there a way to optimize only the used clips in a project at once?

Use the filter HUD in the browser to should only used media. Transcode the clips that are found.

Thanks Tom, I can only select unused media in the event browser. Have to look somewhere else?

Press Cmd-F in the browser for the filter HUD. Click the + in the upper right.
