Multicam Clip Audio not playing in Browser was created by maschinsky
I have a peculiar problem. On a shoot we filmed with two cameras, both cameras were recording sound. The A- cam (Sony FS-7) recorded the radio-mic on CH1 and the B-Cam recorded two mono guide audio tracks from a shotgun mic.
I made multi clips out of the two cameras, which worked like a charm.
For editing all I need to hear though is CH1 from the FS-7. I opened the inspector and under "Audio—Channel Configuration" I deactivated cam B's audio buy unchecking it's box and only activated CH1 from the FS-7 and deactivated CH2-CH8. (The FS-7 does record 8 audio-tracks, which are always imported into FCPX, even when "remove silent channels" is selected on import.)
In the browser I can see the multi clip's audio waveform, when I edit the multiclip into a project I can hear the correct audio channel, BUT in the browser I can't hear a thing. Not when scrubbing, nor when playing.
What have I done wrong here?
I experimented with the Multicam-editor wether it makes a difference which camera-track is above or which speaker-symbol is switched on(blue) there—does not make a difference. I don't hear anything.
Pleas help if you can.

I'm having a similar problem, I think. I recorded 32-bit audio with two microphones (Sennheiser MKH 8060 and 8070) to a Zoom F6, and forgot to turn off the L/R channels... so I have TrL, TrR, Tr1, and Tr2. I imported this audio track and synced it with my three camera angles. If I double-click the Multicam track, it plays back fine in the editor. I can also disable the L/R tracks there. But back in the browser, I get audio dropping out periodically. I suppose that once I'm ready to edit with it, I'll be dropping it into the project timeline, and as long as it plays okay there, I'll be fine - but I'm not there yet - I'm trying to create my keywords in the browser, and that's hard to do when the sound drops out every few seconds.
