FCPX Screengrab 1920x1080 vs 2560x1440 monitor displays? was created by cog2803
Greetings - might there be someone out there that can offer a screen grab of FCPX operating on a 1920x1080 monitor and the same window display on a 2560x1440 monitor?.
I currently have two 24" 1920x1080 monitors with the left monitor in portrait mode with "Show Events on Second Display" selected.
I'm making a pitch for a larger "main" edit monitor based on the desire to see more vertical height of the timeline to decrease the amount of scrolling up/down when there are multiple clips stacked vertically. Being able to present examples of the same timeline displayed in a 1920x1080 display compared to a 2560x1440 display would be helpful.
I've attached a photo of how things are arranged now . . .
Thanks.

Those additional 640 vertical pixels sound appealing but I don't think they will revolutionize your editing efficiency.

Thanks for the feedback and screengrab. Most of the time my timeline is in "label only" with occasional forays into "waveform only" when tweaking audio. I have all the display options mapped to my "F" keys and use that to swap views quickly. I rarely run it in clip and waveform but that's just personal preference.
Though now I see with further research that 3840x2160 monitors are not that much more. If my memory serves me correctly now, I believe that is the configuration that was shared somewhere that got me to thinking about all this
Thanks!

(cough) 200% or TWICE the vertical space than your actual set-up isn't much???
Are you using Premiere and tracks??
… a more flexible windows layout is, I guess, on everybody's wishlist …

Sorry - I wasn't clear.
I meant not that much in price. Yes, that's a lot more space
