trimming synced clips to the length of the video? was created by ronfya
Hey guys
Is there any way to automatically batch trim synced clips to the length of the video? (to avoid black frames at the beginning and end of the video clip)
Thanks

Hard to believe and I would like to be proven wrong but - No.
I've been experimenting with AppleScript to achieve that and it would be possible to do it via xml.

This is really the biggest PITA about syncing audio in FCPX or Pluraleyes.
I used to use a Keyboard Maestro action for that but it doesn't work anymore for whatever reason I don't understand ...
Please Apple fix this.
In the meantime if anybody has a reliable and efficient solution I would be glad to know.
Thanks.

As Nils said currently only XML is an option (in conjunction with AppleScript).
So an "app" could be a simple XML modifier or one which creates new clips from the data inside the XML. Latter means that audio and video are merged into one movie based on the video. This clip can be saved as reference or self-contained.
I haven't worked with Plural Eyes for years, so I'm not sure how the synched clip appears in the XML. The material I get always can be synched by TC and I use my own app to do that.
Would be great if somebody could post a little clip (the source files) and an XML for plural eyes.
