Remove effect from multiple clips

How do I remove effects from multiple clips in FCPX?
I highlight them all... Go into the inspector, uncheck the effect and nothing happens. I'm having to do it clip by clip.
Is there a way to do this?

What you're describing should work, assuming they're all the same effect. It works for me just as you describe. I'm assuming the current version.

New FCPX 10.2 on a Mac Pro 2013.
It's definitely not working for me. Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve?

You mean 10.2.3?
Try trashing you preferences. Maybe post screenshots of the timeline and inspector.

Yes sorry... excuse the brevity. 10.2.3
I've just downloaded it today. I'm using it with a Mac Pro 2013.
I have to say, it's been incredibly slow. I'm using it to grade s-log3 out of a Sony PX5 - I would have thought the Mac Pro would have a big enough engine to deal with it.
I will try trashing the prefs. Thank you.

Depend on filter settings you can not remove, change multiple effects. Google for my X-FX app it's a tool to work with effects and will allow you to delete/disable effects.
