Angus Wall on Final Cut Pro X was created by Vlastavision
We certainly all know who Angus Wall is. He was David Fincher's main editor until Gone Girl, and he won the Oscar twice! I don't know how I missed this, as this is the quote from Apple's original FCPX press release, but Angus Wall said the following about Final Cut Pro X, "I’m blown away by what Apple has done with Final Cut Pro. Final Cut Pro X is incredibly modern and fast, but most importantly it lets you focus on telling your story in the most creative way, while it actively manages all of the technical details.”
It's true that Fincher is now using Premiere Pro with Kirk Baxter in charge, but had Angus Wall remained as his main editor would he have used FCPX? I think yes! It was Wall who insisted they use FCP Studio instead of Avid in the first place.
Hopefully, he returns to editing soon, so we'll see what his preferred tool will be!

If this is from the original press release, then he wasn't using it, but had merely looked at it. There was a large Apple event done later where they pulled live iPhone video from around the world and put it into a web spot. He cut it on FCP7, not FCPX, even though it was available. So whether he switched over to X later, would be an unknown. He's been more involved in directing and VFX in recent years, so using a new NLE might not be on the front burner for Angus.
Part of the reason Fincher's office went with the Adobe option was because of After Effects integration. Plus Adobe and other contractors worked directly with the team to keep the workflow relatively smooth.
