I downloaded a trial of Lock and Load and have been trying to compare it to FCPX's built in stabilization tool. Honestly, I haven't noticed any differences so far, even though CoreMelt's comparison videos show a big difference.
Does anyone have any links to good tutorials that might help get more out of the plugin?

I have been considering posting this same question. I have been comparing Lock and Load to the built in stabilizer (FCPX 10.2.3) on quite a few different clips. I find that in most cases the built in stabilizer does a better job - and in the other cases, the two are about the same. The built in stabilizer produces a more natural looking result. I've tried adjusting the parameters of each effect. But in the end, the built in stabilizer does a better job.
I purchased Lock and Load quite some time ago and used it exclusively for a while. I have the suspicion that the built in stabilizer was improved sometime along the way.
