Compressor Not Converting XAVC L Footage

I'm trying to convert footage from my Sony FS5 which is XAVC Long Gop HD into XDCam HD 422 50mbps.

I tried doing it with all the rushes (just under an hours worth), but it cancelled after processing about 70% of the way.

I then chopped the footage into bite size chunks of 20 mins approx each and the same thing happened.

Any thoughts why this is happening?

My Macbook Pro is retina 15 inch model with 16gb of Ram, so I thought it would be capable of dealing with this...

try using Sony's Catalyst Browse. It may be the better choice. Not sure why your having trouble though...

Thanks, that was my next thought.
But now having problem exporting the footage in any format! Tried Pro Res and that failed, so really not sure what's happening. Original footage ingested ok and then I edited it down a bit.

After breaking the footage down into 3 chunks, both the second & third ones exported ok. So, there must have been an issue with the first one. So, I deleted this footage and then re-imported it. This all worked. I used Catalyst Browse instead of Compresser to transcode from XAVC L to HD 422 XDCam .
