Import from iMovie - Missing Media in Broswer was created by ironhide1975
Hello, newbie here bear with me.
I recently import a movie from iMovie to FCP. But when I go to the Libraries for this I don't see any of the clips in the view.
A work around is to select the clip in the timeline and select 'Reveal in Browser' but I don't want to do this for every clip.
Please tell me this is a fixable problem.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.

That's the way the application works if you send a project to FCP.

That seems really dumb. What if I need to go find another part of a media clip? I first have to find the clip in the timeline and then select it first in View in Browser before it shows up.
Seems really dumb design.
I submitted this as a bug to Apple and they said this worked as intended. Here's what I wrote back.
The seems really stupid if you ask me. If I create a movie in iMovie and then send to FCP, what if I want to go find the original media in FCP? I have to go find the part of the movie that has that clip, say reveal and browser which seems very poorly designed. All the media for that project should show up exactly the same way it does in iMovie in the Media drawer. For example, the movie I started in iMovie and send to FCP is a documentary about my band. It has numerous clips all scattered throughout the project. But the majority of the clips are from huge media files form our hour long shows. If I want to go find another part of that show, I first have to find the original clip in the timeline, select 'View in Browser' and then go find the extra part. If that media was already displaying in the timeline then I wouldn't have hunt and peck for the part. Now granted I just bought FCP so I will probably create all my movies in there now, but this conversion process was really daunting in my opinion, when it shouldn't be.
Does this make sense?

Did you try sending the event to FCP? If you send the event and project, you can get them both.
