Camera Archive Log Sheet

Hello,

The workflow I built at our post-house heavily relies on Camera Archives to copy and back up our footage, we have a manual data entry log sheet in Google Sheets we use to tell us where and when things are stored on external drives. NO filling this in every time especially after a big shoot of filling this in overtime and Google Sheets as a PITA to work with, so I was wondering if anybody knows of any elegant ways to log footage, be that software or a macro that works in sheets etc. to make filling this in as less of a chore as possible.

I've tried an extensive search in google for something like this but nothing seems like it's made for video.

Cheers

A simple database is easy enough to manage and then is very searchable when you need to find the media fast. We use Filemaker Pro (on Mac) but there are a bunch of database solutions out there for all platforms (even IOS & Android).

You really don't need to spend the large amount for a video specific one unless you have other scheduling needs or money burning a hole in your pocket.

Cheers!
