Intermittant Colour Grade Issues was created by PhilCF

I'm doing a basic grade on a short video and in some of the videos no matter what changes I make in the colour panel, nothing is happening to the video. I am whacking exposure up and down and the clip isn't changing at all.

Does anyone know why this might be?

FCP X 10.1.3 on Mac Pro late 2013, with OSX El Capitain 10.11.6

Sounds like the particular clip you are trying to grade is not selected before you adjust the controls. Be sure the play head is over the clip and the round circle is present on the clip where the play head is. Or just highlight the clip. If this still doesn't work, close FCPX and trash the preferences by launching FCPX with the Option and Command keys held down. Choose to delete preferences in the resulting dialog as FCPX starts up. Post back if you still have issues.
