Free up Space on HD

Hi. Im using final Cut 10.2.3 and the media management seems to have changed and im having problems creating a new project and moving existing projects as well as associated media onto external drives. Can someone please help me with a link or tutorial of how existing project can be moved, and with new project how you can choose to store media on external drives?

You create a new library on the drive you want to use. Make the new project in the new library. If you copy a project from one library to another the media used in the project will be copied to the other library.

From your description I'm guessing you're using managed media, media that's stored inside the library bundle.

There haven't been any changes to media management in a couple of years.
