Friend asked me to record his sons football match direct from a website (flash JW player and no apps would download it). Anyway, its recorded now, 42 mins long.

Whats the best export settings master file (currently H.264 is saying 6.43gb which is too large).. any ideas or suggestions most welcome?

... too large for what? ;)

Or, to rephrase, what delivery do you have in mind? 40min/1080 in 6 Gigs is … 'normal'. To make it substancially smaller, you have to lower res (720p), fps (15… for sports??), bitrate.

All that will affect the quality, which, I assume, isn't a wonder firsthand, due to screenrecording a Flash-video ....

Master file from a screen capture.
1080p25 ProRes LT which would be just under 30GB
From that make your H.264 deliverable which depends on use.
