FCPX archiving

FCPX archiving was created by Toby1
I am researching archiving of FCPX libraries. Given FCPX can automatically create backups that are significantly smaller files and can be used to recreate projects, could I simply save the original movie files + the FCP backup files instead of saving whole FCP bundles/libraries?

If you discard all generated media inside FCP and you're using external media, the library bundle is the best thing to save. It's the most recent version and is no larger than a recent backup.

Thanks for the reply Tom.
I thought that a library bundle, even with all generated files discarded, will be larger than an FCPX automatic backup as it still contain all the original media files (if all media has been saved to a library of course).
I thought that the FCPX backup files are simply like a media link recipe, able to used to automatically regenerate projects once linked to the original media.
Always learning....
